We are recruiting a maintenance technician

Kraffter Machine Tools is recruiting a machine tool maintenance technician for its Savoie site in SAINT-GENIX-LES-VILLAGES - France.

 

 

1.         JOB DESCRIPTION :

As a Machine Tool Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for fault diagnosis, maintenance and preparation of CNC and conventional machines as part of retrofit and/or refurbishment activities.


2.         ACTIVITIES / TASKS :

- Powering up machine tools as soon as they arrive at our premises.

- Systematic checks to assess the operating condition of the machines.

- Diagnosis of faults and search for technical solutions.

- Dismantling before cleaning: casings and other machine components.

- Replacement of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical components.

- Replacing ball screws, spindles, etc.

- Checks, adjustments and alignment.

- Preventive maintenance to minimise breakdowns and unplanned downtime.

- Completion of job tracking forms: computer entry of spare parts to be ordered/replaced.

- Pre-departure preparation of machines (dismantling, disconnection and marking of wiring to facilitate reassembly at our customers' premises).

- Meticulous packing of the machines and their accessories before departure.

 

3.         NATURE AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Responsibility for powering up machine tools.

- Dismantling and cleaning, paying attention to each machine component.

- Carrying out technical diagnosis of breakdowns independently.

- Managing the necessary checks and adjustments on the machines.

- Repairs and replaces defective components with a concern for quality.

- Rigorously managing repairs by filling in follow-up forms.

- Mastery of measuring tools and instruments.

- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

- Suggesting technical improvements to optimise machine performance.

- Planned preventive maintenance to ensure machine availability.


4.         DESCRIPTION OF WORKING RELATIONSHIPS :

- Close collaboration with the manager and workshop manager to ensure rigorous monitoring of each machine tool available, guaranteeing transparent communication and effective coordination within the team.

- Working with the cleaning staff to ensure that the machine is thoroughly cleaned after each component has been dismantled.

- Regular communication with customers on technical issues or questions relating to the reception and installation of their machines.


5.         SALARY :

According to experience and profile


6.         SCHEDULE :

42 hours Monday to Friday.

Flexible daytime working hours to be determined on recruitment between 7am and 6pm.


7.         EXPERIENCE :

3 years minimum as a technician on CNC machine tools (chip removal and/or grinding).
