Kraffter equips itself with the Renishaw QC20 ballbar!
With a view to guaranteeing our customers high-precision CNC machines that are perfectly set up, Kraffter Machine Tools has equipped itself with and trained in the QC20 ballbar control system developed by Renishaw.
With the support of our partner EMCI Industrie, Kraffter continues to produce geometric inspection reports using high-precision instruments, such as 000-grade granite squares and rulers, lever comparators, and inspection mandrels. We now complement these inspections with measurements taken using the QC 20 ballbar.This combination ensures even greater accuracy and reliability.
This new high-precision equipment allows us to perform performance diagnostics on CNC machine tools used in the most demanding industries. It allows us to position ourselves as a machine tool specialist focused on precision and reliability.
BALLBAR QC20 RENISHAW GEOMETRY DIAGNOSTICS
The QC 20 ballbar is Renishaw’s precision measuring device for checking and diagnosing CNC machine tools. This ballbar qc 20 system is widely used for geometry diagnostics and accuracy test report generation.
Featuring a telescopic linear sensor with precision balls at either end, this ball bar is then programmed to follow a circular path.
MEASURING PERFORMANCE
The ballbar developed by Renishaw is used to accurately detect radius variations. The aim is to identify geometry-related faults in a dynamic way.
A geometry report carried out without the QC20 tool will be static and will not be able to take account of machine deviations during a machining cycle.
The ballbar checks the accuracy of machine tools in motion. As it follows a programmed circular path around a fixed support, it detects even the smallest radius variations.
This set-up makes it possible to measure the machine's performance under real machining conditions. The resulting data feeds into our detailed accuracy test report for each CNC machine.
